Amazon Kindle…I Want One!

Way too many haters. Waaaay.

The nerds hate it. Gooood. They hated the iPod. They hate themselves. Amazon snookered all the nerds on Techmeme to write about it. Classic. Like anyone in mainstream America cares what Scoble and Arrington have to say.

Age is killing the book industry. I get through two pages in bed at my age and I am out. That’s not good for the industry. I want to read in doctor’s offices, airplanes, airports, pretty much anywhere I am waiting. I don’t want to read stuff on my laptop and blackberry and my AT&T iPhone.

And it’s Amazon. They have done a beautiful job on their website . Talk about reach. Add to that the scarcity they created and you have a potential hottie. Here is Michael Lewis pitching it (I like that authors love this thing immediately).

A freaking book store in my hands and briefcase.

And by the way…I will pay for a package of my favorite blogs. Not tech ones, but important financial ones. Grow up people, lot’s of others will.

One caveat…it better work like promised or I hate it .
