Apple to offer movie downloads – winners and losers are…AND Will Apple Buy Sun Microsystems

I am feeling good about being Long Apple and short Netflix in the inaugural Lindzon paired trade contest. Only Trader Mike is close with his Hansen Short. He is long Coke which is a DINOSAUR :) . I am hoping they buy Hansen’s at a 40 percent premium just to finish him off. I would hate to part with my iPod. Guaranteed to be packed loosely Mike :) .

With respect to Apple buying Sun Micro as many smart people ? including John Devorack are speculating, I agree with Jeff Matthews:

But anybody who thinks that Apple—which revolutionized the personal computer industry and then the music industry, and is now on the verge of revolutionizing the television and movie industry—is going to spend $15+ billion to “make a splash in the server market,” well, they might as well be wishing for Simon to get back together with Garfunkel.

Or, even less likely, I think, a return to the pre-mouse days, when computers played pong and were controlled by F-keys…and people wrote columns to explain how to operate the damn things.

Put that sucker to bed!
