Adobe and Baidu..Seem subprime Free

Adobe guides up I think from a quick glance. Slow and steady has this rise been. Baidu has been the opposite, fast and loose, but added 18 freaking more points today.

Congrats to the SIRI longs and Baidu shorts. Keep reading this blog for my good luck.

‘Flash’ is Back on Wallstrip…Adobe

I have had Adobe on ‘double secret probation’ (lack of upside stock excitement) as often as my favorite list. It’s strong but never run away and hide strong.

Flash ‘ is always on my buy list and he ‘kills’ again today on Wallstrip .

Here is his first appearance again:

Just Stocks

So many stocks hitting all-time highs including many Wallstrip stocks.

One of my faves that still looks poised for a big move is Adobe. Flash plans a Wallstrip return very soon .

Baidu hit $140 on it’s way to $200 :) . Me love Baiduuu

Garmin and Navteq in GPS are on fire.

Nuance (NUAN) in voice recognition looks ready to move higher.

Water is still a favorite long of mine – via the ETF (PHO)

One of our worst stocks that we covered (I blogged that I did not care to own it at the time), is First Marblehead. Vitaly has a good post on why he is getting long . This is a stock that looks more interesting broken than at all-time highs, but am still avoiding. Here is the our show discussing the Company:

Adobe – Flash, Acrobat or Photoshop

Have not posted much on Adobe lately. It always seems on the verge of busting out.

I think the stock is poised for outsized gains.

In the land of tech giants, I like Adobe’s $25 billion market cap. It is puny for what they have their fingers in. Their free cash flow is spectacularlicious and they are using it to eat their own stock which in this case actually seems smart.

Barron’s thinks so as well and has a great cover story . Not just because I own the stock, but it does a good job of laying out the bulllish case in a digestable way. About time. The paper has sucked for the longest time.

Wallstrip’s very own Flash is due for an appearance in my view. With Marvel (MVL) breaking out it could be Spiderman vs. Flash. All ideas for shows on the topic are always welcome.

Wallstrip 50 shows later and Harley-Davidson Revisited

I am tired. Really tired. NOT. We are just getting started.

I was looking back through the archives of shows tonight and I am feeling pretty good. The shows are great and the stocks are doing really well save Smith and Wesson and Electronic Arts. Ouch on both. The big winners are Toyota, Altria, Garmin, Rimm, Crocs and Apple. Since we started the show in mid October, the markets have been real strong – that always helps. That said, I firmly believe that timing the market is not worth the effort and you are always best off buying the strongest stocks and being diversified.

Please remember that money management rules the day and that’s where the links, blogroll and Wallstrip blog come into play.

Portfolio’s need to be pruned.

In that vein, today we revisit Harley-Davidson. It is one of the great American Brands of all time. I have no position in the stock. Here are all my posts on Harley. Not bad :) .

For a fresh look, I asked my friend and Wallstrip regular Brian Shannon for the lowdown on Harley’s technicals. Here it is:

For why Harley does well despite technicals being good or bad – here is The Rad Report’s take:

Some exciting news is that the Wallstrip team is heading to PHOENIX for a week of shows. It’s actually cheaper than me going to New York :) . It’s also the only way to get Lindsay in a bikini. NOT.

Thanks for staying involved and spreading the word.

TechCrunch – Preparing for Apollo

THE Adobe blog

Hope this helps.

You say Apollo, I say Adobe

Mike from TechCrunch is talking about Adobe’s Apollo launch.

I say the stock market has been digesting this news for a while and likes what it has to swallow.

I will take his nerdy word for it and his 37 minute podcast with fellow geeks and nerds and the links and comments to the post.

I am going to listen to the podcast tonight and see if that can help cure my sleeping problem. It is cheaper than an ambien.

All the talk of Adobe and Apollo can’t replace my favorite Wallstrip character – “FLASH” :) .

Adobe – “FLASHING” green.

Just last week, Adobe was in code red position in the Lindzon portfolio. Today – all green. I will likely add in the morning to my position (just a little). I have no comments on the just released numbers – who the hell really knows anyways. BUT, the price action is speaking volumes!

In honor of the CODE RED status being averted – here is “THE” scene – in flash :)
