Here’s Wallstrip’s great first show on Baidu. I think we nailed it.

Going to take the profits and add some gold stocks, semiconductors and porn (RICK).

May add some Altria here as the dog of Wallstrip. My portfolio is lacking a death edge.

I am long Baidu and have no position in Google and from a trend perspective probably should have that reversed.

Time will tell and that time may be soon. Roger’s got a great piece on the Baidu-Google grudge match and it’s a must read for those following the epic battle that is unfolding .

I stuck to my plan and bought early this morning at $102 and change. I hate giving up a 20 point gain but that’s the down side to long-term trend following.

The stock closed well, but who cares. It’s noise.

In my view, the stock has marked some volatile time, all the while growing into it’s obnoxious market capitalization. Money is made sitting and Baidu is one to still sit with. Here is a Wallstrip refresher:

Sounds like a good one to me . Now let the animals trade away. In three years, this puppy just has to be higher based on it’s growth and position.

I will likely by in the morning if it’s below $110

If you don’t own WEBX, take a look. If it clears 50 see ya to the upside. I was scared out but reentered back at $42 and change.

Yahoo has spun me around but I changed my tune at the beginning of the year and am long and have been rewarded. I think it ticked $30 beans today.

Here are some other longs that I have talked about frequently, own and have been on fire. I still own them:

Apple – did sell a little yesterday but you will have to pry the rest from me.

Rentrak – RENT.

EWM – Malaysia. Here is a piece from
back in December 2005 .

NavTeq - NVT – my favorite GPS play. I also own Garmin.

Nuance – NUAN. It has almost doubled from my orifginal purpose and I still can’t find somebody who believes. Yet, more and more I hear their services when I call companies.

Akamai – AKAM. Been selling on the way up but original buy in the teens noted on this blog.

BAIDU – BIDU. No one Chineses stock is better suited to rise if their market rises and still rise in a market decline.

SIGM. Actually a component play so I have been selling since the mid 20′s and own a fraction of what I started with.

PHO – Water. I may be adding to my position soon.

Smith and Wesson - SWHC – this stock has been good to me for sure. It is my second go around.

Here is a new one I have been buying – SPIL – Silicon Precision.

This has been a real bull market and nobody owns stocks. Nobody. I do hear from bears every day though.

I was looking back through the archives of shows tonight and I am feeling pretty good. The shows are great and the stocks are doing really well save Smith and Wesson and Electronic Arts. Ouch on both. The big winners are Toyota, Altria, Garmin, Rimm, Crocs and Apple. Since we started the show in mid October, the markets have been real strong – that always helps. That said, I firmly believe that timing the market is not worth the effort and you are always best off buying the strongest stocks and being diversified.

Please remember that money management rules the day and that’s where the links, blogroll and Wallstrip blog come into play.

Portfolio’s need to be pruned.

In that vein, today we revisit Harley-Davidson. It is one of the great American Brands of all time. I have no position in the stock. Here are all my posts on Harley. Not bad :) .

Some exciting news is that the Wallstrip team is heading to PHOENIX for a week of shows. It’s actually cheaper than me going to New York :). It’s also the only way to get Lindsay in a bikini. NOT.

The Yahoo Message Board of Baidu is lit up Wallstrip.

Yesterday Broker A (Fly on the Wall?) chimed into the Baidu conversation with the term “poleaxed.” It is truly one of my favorite words ever from the days when I shorted as much as I went long. Problem is… the stock could go to $400 on the way to getting “poleaxed.” If you don’t like it, find something else and don’t worry about the day of reckoning.

I am really having the time of my life being involved with Wallstrip. I am very thankful for the kind e-mails and words of encouragement so far. Everybody is busting their asses to keep it fresh. The stock bloggers have been ket in spreading the word. It’s a giant community push which is the coolest part of it.

I think the biggest wind at our back has been the market itself. It is the biggest mood drug known to man and I know that won’t last. The show will go on even when it turns and we have some great stuff planned.

PS – I am getting lot’s of good ideas from the community so keep them coming.

There is no purer play on the growth of internet in China. If you surf, YOU SEARCH!

The Chinese search with a different set of tools, fuctions and acceptable advertising models. They seem to be working for them.

I am loving the possibilities for growth at Baidu. Looking forward to some extra pearls of wisdom for the bloggers.

Let’s throw in a little BIDU from that teeny Asian county CHINA! I did a few days ago at 101.

If Intel, Microsoft and Dell are on your screen – buy LUCENT :) .

This is not a market for thinkers. They are buried, steamrolled and puckered out.

This whole bull shebang could end tomorrow. I have NO OPINION. Just following prices. It’s one of those rare periods where the “idiots” are in control (according to the “smart” people).

One thing is obvious. There are a lot more “idiots” than “smart” people.

LONG – Apple, Rimm, Bidu, Adobe and no sane reason why I don’t own Google. Wallstrip does :) .
