Google – Way too many Haters

I don’t own Google. I should. No excuses, just a human mistake.

Way back when in Wallstrip history we covered Google and hit the streets. Nobody owned the stock. Lot’s of ’street’ hate overall. Tonight, Wall Street and the press are loving ‘Google’ for their earnings report and growth. The hate will be back and thick in short order.

I was at the Web 2.0 show and the YouTube hate was as loud as ever. As long as the hate remains, there is much more upside.

Andy has a great summary of the bearish case on Google , despite being a bullish user. Great post.

I would rather own the Chinese Google for now. That has been a mistake.

  • The people who are down on YT don't use YT and so they have no idea what keeps it going. They think it's all about the pirated clips but that's just the seasoning to attract new people. The meat is the real stuff that people share.

It's ridiculous that this is being fought out in courts rather than the marketplace but I guess that's the way people are - greedy and shortsighted. I desperately hope Viacom are dealt the smackdown the deserve - not least to see how Idiot Cuban tries to talk his way out of it.

I wonder if he will swap feet or if that massive mouth can hold both feet at once and still let him keep talking crap.
