GREED on Wallstrip…A Parody of A Few Good Men

I have been looking for a point in time to talk about GREED and now seems about the right time. Stocks have had a huge run, private equity deals are flowing, mergers and acquisitions are at record levels, and well…CHINA?

I am long. Very long. Uncomfortably long, but I don’t feel greedy. I am trying to stick to my strategy. Maybe China is undervalued. They do have $500 plus trillion in cash (mosty ours). Maybe more of the Arab world likes us since we took out Sadaam – they do have $500 plus trillion more in their coffers since we invaded Iraq. Maybe peace is about to break out.

Ya Right.

The main thing is don’t get caught up in the hysteria of great markets. You are not that smart. The markets are making you money. Apple going up $4/day, Baidu jumping $5, Google $8, Oil Stocks being bought out after record runs. Enjoy the good times, but remember that trends end.

All said, I feel GREED is part of our culture. We our a money culture. We are consumed with money…Do I have enough? Should I be Making More? How does that putz have so much? Because of this culture, we will have these severe periods of greed. Today, we parody one of the epic poster boys for GREED – Dennis Kozlowski .

I love the scene we put together for you today from ‘A Few Good Men ‘ (Demi was bad in this classic too).

Here is the original scene…a classic:

When markets go up most people want to jump in thinking that its never going to stop going higher. Buy to high.

When markets reverse people think it will never get better and stocks will never go higher. Sell to low

That is the psychology the CNBC hype machine feeds us.
  • Great video, that scene is a classic.

Trend hasn't been broken yet, finding many ppl calling the top.
