Interactive Broker (IBKR) – An Up Day

I have been WRONG for 3 points on Interactive Broker but am buying some more shares tomorrow.

Fully confident in their long-term potential as a public Company. I think today was their first up day since it’s IPO.

Fine with me.

OK Kennie, hope you are enjoying your double-digits loss buying IBKR in an IPO launched by a sociopath.

As far as the ridicuous jilted lover accusation goes, I wouldn't drink out of Thomas Peterffy's Diet Coke, let alone get anywhere near him or another man sexually. No interest.
  • Kenneth
Laffing Atib, any credibility you might have had with your experience or direct knowledge of the people involved is completely negated by your ranting about Peterffy's sexuality as a qualification for sociopathy (not that it has any bearing on his company, his success, or his intentions, or that it's any of your or our business). This paranoid ranting makes your opinions intensely suspect.

In fact, you sound more like a jilted lover than someone from whom I'd want to take any kind of advice... =)
  • Look, I have nothing but sympathy for those who have so far been rooked by IBKR. Fact is, you got played by pros. Thing is, I KNOW THOSE PROS PERSONALLY. Which is why I published underactivebreakers.com.

My old Irish ancestors had a saying, "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

SELL SELL SELL SELL. Enron and Worldcom were run by sociopaths. SO IS IBKR.

IBKR doesn't really make much money from their brokerage business. The trading group, on the other hand, does.

Also consider the founder, who is getting older and looking to cash out a bit. He still has another 90% of the company to issue more shares with.
  • hey Butchi Nalajala can you pass me the bong?
  • I too am LONG this stock. In the spirit of looking to make money, it would seem that the longer this rally continues, the better the sector and this stock will do. Most companies have already been consolidated and there are only a few companies in this sector. The ones that are left have skyrocketed.

According to my records, the company works with EXPERIENCED TRADERS, so any service issues speak about the client I assume.

Also, the company has some numbers that cannot be ignored:

    2006 Sales (mil.): $1,736.8
    1-Year Sales Growth: 58.0%
    2006 Net Income (mil.): $734.2
    1-Year Net Income Growth: 37.1%

    37%......WOW!

    I LIKE IT!
  • the hate will backfire.
  • As soon as any number pop fades out, the selling will begin again. This thing is a DOG long term.

    Woof woof.

There is a rumor of IBKR buying OXPS. If that happens, the OXPS customers would leave in droves. Because, they would be going from the broker with the best customer service to the broker with the worst customer service. (I used both of them and I know the difference).
