Social MD…The Business

I rarely get asked what business I would start if I had the time and money at my disposal.

I get pitched everything under the sun. I have no problem with it, I just can’t possibly get back to everyone in a reasonable timeframe.

So if you had the time and believed as I do in Web 4.4187 or Web 2.0, here’s the freebie that I share with anyone who asks:

Social MD

Think Geek Squad for setting up people’s Social Web profiles and lives.

The Social Web is so early that even I am managing to make a living. If that’s the case, Social MD has massive scalability and franchise possibilities.

My friend Dmitry , founder of many web companies, passionate disliker of Mark Cuban and Calacanis (double check mark), has a webinar series that teach people how to upgrade their web skills . As he says, 99 percent plus of the people in any room you walk into have no idea how to use Google. After getting a few tips and tools, I realized I was definitely in the 99 percent.

With Facebook, the numbers are likely the same and definitely include me.

Here’s what you need to do to make Social MD a reality. Price the set-up fees right right for your city, hire some students, train them properly (they live this stuff already), lease a few Scion’s that you default on eventually like every other good American, partner with a webinar series developer like Dmitry and you have instant clients and likely a profitable business.

If you run with the idea, let me know. Maybe I can help.
