BTW: Toastmasters is a great organization, been a member for 4 years.

You know who could've pulled off something like this? Apple. Maybe in one way they did with their video podcasts.

i am with Tom though. I was very sure and bullish - well documented - that they should be bought for North of $1 billion and if I was in charge of a media company - I would have been pushing for it. EGO issues mainly.

BUT - integration is a longshot and I think the buy is no sure thing.


Copyright is a rounding error though

You know this is the FIRST time these guys have ever posted a video to YouTube? That is one of their biggest mistakes that they need to fix. One of the high profile Youtubers posted a hilarious video where he lauded this "historic day" - Chad and Steve actually posted a video. Oh yeah, and there was some story about Google that probably isn't as important.

And Tom, that whole "copyright" argument is FUD bullshit put about by competitors. Trust me on this - an absolute non-issue.

I dunno know about this buy. YouTube is gimmicky alright but I wonder what happens when the lawsuits come for all the copyrighted material on YouTube. Will Google pull all those clips? What's left? Junk like this?

I'm not really sold on this idea yet.
