$BIDU crushed earnings.  When you compare their performance to $GOOG’s you can see explicitly where the growth in in the global economy.

Interesting to see bullish sentiment pick up given some of the bearish undertones going on in the market.

Education stocks getting booched this morning on $APOL.  Nice idea from @JackDamn this morning.

Steve Jobs wrote a great piece this morning on why $AAPL doesn’t support flash.

Gaming stocks like $LVS continue to act strong.  Still way off their pre-crisis highs.

$UNG is getting killed on a inventory build.  Lots of guys were looking for a bottom.  Still possible but Natty is looking really weak.

More and more lately there has been talk of inflation bubbling under the surface.  @Honest_T gives some idea on how to play it:

$CMCSA had some nice numbers.  @TMTAnalyst, a pro, shows where the strength was:

$AAPL, which has lead the market up got clobbered early on this morning.  It’s bouncing back a bit but should be watched.

Not too surprisingly, Spain was downgraded today.  @CalculatedEntry likes $GLD as a play (as $GLD outpeformed yesterday)

@jfahmy has been in sync with the market all year long.  So when he speaks we listen:

The financial sector has had great earnings so far, and $C was no exception this morning.  Many people are looking to add exposure on any pullback, $GS news be damned!

There are reports that the $GS investigation will spill over to other firms such as $DB, while Dick Bove says that the case against $GS is “dumb”:

@pvitha raises a great point. Instead of putting your money in a savings account yielding 0.1%, put it in the equity of the bank borrowing at that rate, in this case $C:

$JPM CRUSHED earnings on great fixed income trading.  Stock’s up 3% today.

The $AAPL iPad appears to be a huge success at first:

Deep in the $INTC and $JPM reports is job growth – which, up until now, has been the 800-lb gorilla in the room that the disbelievers are pointing to.

The StockTwits stream nailed $KLIC.  Great case where technicals lead the fundamentals.

As @charlesrotblut points out, a “Goldilocks Recovery” can only last so long.

With the Apple Tablet, the world and it’s bloggers are ALL truly watching in real-time . That’s pretty crowded.

Throughout the stratosphereic run of Apple, few have truly believed. With the Apple stores, nobody believed. iTunes was mocked. The iPod was old technology. The Powerbooks too expensive. There was options backdating scandals and liver cancer.

NOW there are Tablet revenue predictiuons for 2020.

Nobody has seen the product, but the Tablet:

1. Is already the FUTURE of literature .

2. Will own Gaming .

3. Killed the Kindle . I thought the Kindle had killed the Kindle when the Kindle was launched?

4. Was passed down from God. In fact, I think it would be cool if Steve Jobs had Ben-Hur playing before he takes the stage and throws the first Tablet into the crowd after breaking it on his knee.

I own Apple, but not with the size or passion that will make or break my year.

That said, I am so in on the Tablet.

$C reported this morning and on the stream it was a “Tale of Two Citi’s”, with some bears and some bulls. So far those who bought the morning dip are doing well:

The biggest news of 2010 is Google and it’s run in with government…not even ours.

Nothing scares me more than the government.

Let’s face it, when you get a letter from the IRS…you shiver…and even that is 99 percent junk mail.

Cornered cats do scary things. Our government is broke, but getting larger. That’s the opposite of what happens in the real world.

You and I can’t print money to pay our creditors. If we could print money, we would not work either.

When you are ‘Too Small to Fail’ you are left alone. When you get big, the competition notices and things get harder. If you get really big, your competition lobbies the government and you are toast.

2010 is going to be a tough one for big web companies.

I notice this tweet this morning and how strong $F has been lately and later in the day they blow out sales forecast.  Ah the power of StockTwits to bring the IMPORTANT information to you first:

The stream was abuzz this morning about the downside surprise in Pending Home Sales.  @bondscoop, as usual, cuts through the noise and appears to be right as the market didn’t really react.

The Ags are on fire and Agricultural ETF $MOO is at new 52-week highs:

Two “next shoe to drop tweets”.  One from @ShiftCTRL and another from the very-astute @wood83.  IF another shoe does drop I can’t for the life of me see it being Japanese HYPERINFLATION.

Another sector out to an early 2010 lead is financials.  A lot of smart people on the stream were buying $C at the latest secondary.

Nice to see MSM types embracing StockTwits.  @JBoorstin says that a 3D TV network is on the way.  Maybe we should do StockTwits TV in 3D and jump on that trend early:
