Why is EVERYONE so Cranky?

For the next week I am smelling the flowers. I am refocusing myself on my ‘Glass is half Full’ attitude.
The rest of the world seems pissed.
Phil and Sergio are pissed they won’t win the British Open and if they do it won’t count because Tiger is not playing.
Fox Biz is pissed because they launched their station three thousand Dow points ago…to the downside
Financial shareholders are pissed because their returns look like this
Barry is pissed about the whole financial system right now . He is biiiitching and ranting like never before and he is an optimist like me.
Not me…I had an amazing trading day in Amex and Goldman and I drove with the ‘Venture Vixen’ up to Muskoka for the next week at TABOO , probably my favorite place on earth. I had lunch at Weber’s on the way, a Double Burger with Cheese, fries and a chocolate shake. We arrived, went directly to the dock. There was not a cloud in the sky. When the ‘Vixen’ took a pre dinner nap, I went out ‘sans electronics’ to play 9 holes on a dead quiet, perfectly manicured and sculpted course.
I did have to kill a few of these guys for causing some wayward shots…
but the little pricks were driving me nuts.
Me…I am not pissed. I am all about “Serenity Now” and have put my money where my mouth is with ‘Spiritual Gangster ‘
Yesterday, The Wall Street Journal finally ran a story on something I blogged about a few weeks ago. The complete diasaster that is the whole Phoenix real estate market and the disturbing suicide of someone I have known for many years and was the largest ‘hard money’ lender in Phoenix . Blair would send him deals that we could not do for years.
There is chaos in the financial systems right now. There is no need to call bottoms, or predict the end of the world. Take a deep breath, take ten steps back, stay focused and lean, and no matter how successful, stay close to your roots. You are not that smart.
I can’t kiss my kids for another few days because they are still at camp, so kiss yours for me.
