We keep expecting volatility but have not gotten it…at least since January.
I won’t guess when volatility returns, this has been a great year for the US markets and an especially great year for people that like buying individual stocks.
The stock market is a popularity contest and with trends, the catalysts for the trend generally trumps the fundamentals. Fundamentals matter, but they are easier to dig into once companies slow down or have already dropped out of fashion.
