Research in Motion (RIMM)…More like Motion Sickness

I have been pretty adamant about avoiding RIMM on this blog and Twitter the last month. The stock is poison.

I was having dinner with a good buddy and fellow Blackberry Curver and although he does not own an iPhone, he was raving about it. Being in sales and the corporate world, he reminded me that most corporate lackies just don’t have time, care about, or know how to even use an iPhone. The CURVE rules the corporate world and rightly so.

You CAN’T be all things to all people. The RIMM braintrust though believes it can and they are now headed for an extended world of pain with their ‘BOLD’ and ‘CONQUISTADOR’ and their ‘TAKE OFF HOSER’ blackberries (I am making these names up people so don’t google them).

The microwave, for all the talk, has not replaced your other kitchen appliances.

RIMM needs some different leadership and fast. Steve Jobs has these ‘hosers’ chasing. That’s dumb. Why chase when you are LEADING?

RIMM needs to fire half their workforce and pull most of their dumb line extensions. They CURVE is/was perfect.

FOCUS!
