Stocktwits as Matchmaker…Congrats UpsideTrader and Todd Stottlemyre on 'Desert Shore Capital'

I have some amazing and exciting news about two of my best friends on Stocktwits.

The mensch @upsidetrader partnered the ‘blister ( :) ) @toddsottlemyre to launch a hedge fund which begins trading next week.

Both gents were hard pitched Stocktwits in the very early days and they both asked asked to be in the angel round. They did not know each other as Todd is a friend in Phoenix and Joe, a friend in New York.

That was nine months ago.

Todd reached out to Upside to be tutored and Upside agreed and they became great friends that would talk markets and strategy every day.

Today they are launching ‘Desert Shore Capital’ (website is up).

They will launch trading next week – long/short using their technical on the long and short side. They are not scared of momentum or trading the bigger macro picture.

We at Stocktwits are so excited that our platform was the the way they came to learn and communicate and ultimately team up.

They will continue to live trade, and will create a hedge fund show around running money and starting a fund – all on Stocktwits TV.

I suspect many more teams will be built on our site., but thanks for sharing the news with me guys. Knock ‘em dead.
